China ranked first with 1.013 billion tons of crude steel production (a year-on-year decrease of 2.1%), and India (124.7 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%) ) ranked second, Japan (89.2 million tons, down 7.4% year-on-year) ranked third, the United States (80.7 million tons, down 5.9% year-on-year) ranked fourth, and Russia (71.5 million tons, down 7.2% year-on-year) ranked fifth. In 2022, global crude steel production will be 1.8785 billion tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.2%.


According to the ranking, among the world's top 40 steel-producing countries (regions) in 2022, 30 countries' crude steel production will decline year-on-year. Among them, in 2022, Ukraine's crude steel production will drop by 70.7% year-on-year to 6.3 million tons, the largest decline. Spain (down 19.2% year-on-year to 11.5 million tons), France (down 13.1% year-on-year to 12.1 million tons), Italy (down 11.6% year-on-year to 21.6 million tons), the United Kingdom (down 15.6% year-on-year to 6.1 million tons ), Vietnam (down 13.1% year-on-year to 20 million tons), South Africa (down 12.3% year-on-year to 4.4 million tons), the Czech Republic (down 11.0% year-on-year to 4.3 million tons) and other countries whose crude steel production fell by more than 10% year-on-year %.


In addition, in 2022, the crude steel output of 10 countries including India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, Pakistan, Argentina, Algeria, and the United Arab Emirates will show a year-on-year increase trend.
