In September, the prices of brown corundum, white corundum and sintered corundum increased, and the prices of flake graphite and silicon carbide fell again, while the prices of other bulk raw materials were temporarily stable. The prices of corundum, brown corundum, white corundum and sintered corundum remained stable.
[Corundum] Affected by the shortage and price increase of bauxite, the production cost of brown corundum increased. Some production enterprises raised the price per ton, and some enterprises were waiting and watching. There were many enterprises that stopped production in the early stage, and the overall inventory of brown corundum showed a downward trend, and the price of brown corundum was relatively strong. The sluggish demand made buyers more resistant to the price increase of white corundum, and buyers and sellers continued to bargain. Under the dual pressure of industrial alumina and natural gas price increases, the price per ton of sintered corundum was adjusted upward.
[Flake graphite] The refractory grade flake graphite market has dropped again, and the unoptimistic demand is the main reason for the price drop. After autumn and winter, the demand for flake graphite may increase, but it will not be enough to absorb the excess production capacity, and the price of flake graphite may still fall in the later period.
【Magnesium Sand】Since February, the price of fused magnesia has been adjusted several times, but the transaction price has not been raised as expected. The main reason is that the profits of the steel and cement industries have decreased, which has forced the prices of refractory materials and overall contracting to fall, and buyers have transferred some pressure to the raw material production end. The market price of sintered magnesia is temporarily stable. Affected by multiple factors such as the rise in magnesite prices, the substitution of recycled materials and weak downstream demand, the profit margins of dead-burned magnesia, mid-range magnesia and high-purity magnesia have gradually narrowed. The uneven quality of products has brought more troubles to users' selection and application, and the price of high-quality sintered magnesia is still high.
【Bauxite】The problem of tight supply of bauxite ore remains unsolved. The ore inventory of bauxite enterprises is in a critical situation, which provides strong support for the price of bauxite. Bauxite still has room for growth. At present, the supply of bauxite is insufficient, and bauxite enterprises have turned to the production of sintered mullite, calcined kaolin and other products.
